LIBRARY
The Museum Library is situated in the same building as the Museum, just above its administration offices in Prešernova Street.
It functions as a specialised public library, and is included in the COBISS system. Books are classified following the UDK system with direct access to some 17,000 collected units (periodicals, monographs), a number of old and ancient examples among which the so-called Skrabariana stands out (the library of the former director of the Museum, Viktor Skrabar).
The Library gathers material related to archaeology, ethnology, cultural anthropology, cultural history, restoration, arts, history and museology.
Opening hours: every day from 8 to 10, and from 13 to 15.
