Monuments in front of the Castle
In front of the castle lies the memorial alley flanked with the statues of important personalities of Ormož and its surroundings. Monuments are dedicated to the writer and publicist Božidar Borko; to the writer and publicist Rudo Jurčec; to the poet Stanko Vraz; to the theologian and youth-writer Franc Ksaver Meško; to the bishop Ivan Jožef Tomažič; to the theologian and writer Stanko Cajnko; to the psychologist, philosopher and anthropologist Dr. Anton Trstenjak; to the architects Dušan Moškon and Božidar Raič. All monuments are works of the sculptor Viktor Gojkovič.
In the vicinity lies the Monument to Reconciliation, work of the sculptor Mirsad Begić from 1997, and dedicated to the victims of the WW II.
